Who is that darn Kat?

Officially, Katina Beckham-French, aka content strategist and award-winning copywriter Kat French, aka speculative fiction writer Kat Bradbury, aka romance author Mara Dane.

(Yeah. I may have a bit of an identity crisis happening here.)

I’ve been a storyteller since I could speak, and a writer since before I could actually, you know, write (I made my mom transcribe my first book at age 5). Like most Gen-xers, I’ve lived an eclectic, unexpected, and interesting life so far. It’s given me a lot of material, because as Nora Ephron said, “everything is copy.”

I’ve managed content for brands from Maker’s Mark bourbon to Daytona Beach tourism, and from the world’s largest custom products website to the world’s largest anti-trafficking community. I’m currently the content lead at World Anvil, the best worldbuilding software.

I’ve been published in Daily Science Fiction, and my most recent novel was an Amazon Best Selling paranormal rom-com with an unconventional hero (he’s a mummy) and a neurodivergent heroine (she has ADHD).
