Obligatory housekeeping post.

A few items of note.

As you’ve no doubt noticed, I’ve changed my blog theme again. Here’s the dealio: I loved the theme I had before. Loved the thumbnails. Loved the look of it. But having to find a thumbnail image for every post was keeping me from posting as often, because often the extra five or ten minutes it takes to find a decent, relevant image was five or ten minutes more than I had.

Right now, I’d rather focus on writing, although I’ll still try to find some nice photos for accent when I can. The new theme is clean, simple, with nice typography. I like it.

I have a post that I’ve been working on for a few days, which I realized halfway in was probably more like three posts that got all spliced and conjoined. So the first one should be arriving hot and fresh and de-spliced on your doorstep this week. Like, tomorrow, probably.

Also: the hair. I know. Purple again. But what are you gonna do? You wake up one morning and realize that seven years have sort of whizzed by, and every time you look in the mirror you see your dead mom’s face, and that’s a downer, right? So the hair is purple and platinum blonde. Because I think we can all agree: purple is a happy color. Harold’s crayon was purple. Frickin’ Barney was purple, and however you may feel about that misbegotten dinosaur, he was happy. Every. freaking. day.

As you were, fellow interwebnauts.

    I like it.

Both the hair and the new theme.

I wish I had blue or green hair today, but dang the 15 yr old and my dad (who is also my boss) would have a stroke.

    Maybe when I am 50 😉

Molly – Thanks. My six year old’s response?

Me: Maddy, do you think my hair looks like a My Little Pony?
Her: No. You look like a rock star!

(This is why I love this kid.)

    The thirteen year old’s response?

    *crickets* *blank look*

    David: Thanks!
