• Are you making life harder than it needs to be?

Posted on June 9, 2010 by in managing attention, real life

Yesterday, I had an epiphany. Over coffee (as usual).

Have you had a bad day that, on the face of it, didn’t really need to be horrible?  Do you notice that setting an intention for the day changes how you approach the day?

Bonus Questions Particularly for Enneagram Fours:

Are you a “coffee snob”? (Or tea snob, or book snob, music snob, etc.)  How has being a snob got in the way of enjoying life?  I know for me, it’s tempted me to fake liking some things, and fake disliking others.  And faking is never a good thing.

If you’re a follower of Christ and a Four, what effect do the words “the common grace” have on you?

(Do you have no idea what I mean by “enneagram Four”? It’s a personality typing system I’ve found really helpful. You can read more about it here.)
